The Columbia Minecraft Club

About Us

The Minecraft Club started up in June, 2019 after a handful of CU'23 students expressed a common interest in the fantastic game of, well, Minecraft! We established our survival server then, and it was a great way to meet people before our freshman year. We had so much fun playing together, that once we met each other on campus, we started meeting up weekly and decided to make a club for anyone else at Columbia to join. Since then, we've done quite a few events together, and we've gotten a second server that hosts our campus build or events, depending on the day! We also have a modded server with rotating modpacks.

The Minecraft club welcomes EVERYONE at Columbia: no matter who you are, we would love to talk to you and play games with you! We always like to see new faces, so feel free to invite all of your friends, even if they're not at Columbia, to the Discord! Our Discord server is our main method of communication, so if you'd like to participate in our weekly meetings and be whitelisted to our servers, be sure you're in it.

Server information

All of our servers require the Java (computer) edition of Minecraft to connect, but we have spare accounts in case you don't have the Java edition and still want to play with us. The survival and creative Minecraft servers are currently running on Minecraft 1.19, but we are planning to launch a new 1.20 survival server as soon as the update is released!

Currently, club operations entirely funded by Board Members and our Merch Store.
